Shahed Anwar Shadhin   was once a young man from a remote, unknown village in Bangladesh—without resources, opportunities, or a future. When he met Mr. Shaker, founder of the Shaker International Scholarship Programs (  SISP  ), his life changed in unimaginable ways.

Despite showing dishonesty from the very beginning, Mr. Shaker chose to see hope in Shadhin. As a fellow Muslim, he believed in lifting others from hardship, not judging them by their past.   SISP   gave Shadhin everything: a job with good pay, a full scholarship, mentorship, a savings account, financial support for his mother and sister, and even educational assistance for his younger sibling. He was treated like family—loved, protected, and celebrated. Over 100 times in public and private meetings, he was announced as the future leader of   SISP  ’s humanitarian expansion in Bangladesh. The dream was for him to become a servant of his people.

But behind that opportunity, Shadhin lived a double life.

In secret, he was romantically involved with another   SISP   scholar—  Samia Islam Farzana  —a woman   SISP   also treated like a daughter. Unbeknownst to the organization, they were not dedicating themselves to the mission. Instead, they were building a scheme of betrayal.

According to witnesses and their own actions, Samia and Shadhin shared confidential internal information, violated every ethical and religious value they once claimed to uphold, and planned their first major act of betrayal together.

On December 1, 2024, they executed a calculated scam: stealing 200,000 BDT in cash and 300,000 BDT in essential equipment from   SISP  . This was not an accident or a mistake—it was a premeditated act of theft and betrayal. Shockingly, it was later revealed that both their families were involved in the deception.

The second and more devastating betrayal came on April 12, 2025, when Shadhin emptied three   SISP  -linked bank accounts, stole every remaining fund, and used this money to dismantle   SISP  ’s scholarship, work-study, and family assistance programs. In collaboration with Samia, they destroyed vital documents, invoices, internal forms, and financial records—items Samia had access to in her role as the organization’s secretary.

They also stole the software platform Shadhin had developed during his 2.5 years at   SISP  —technology created with nonprofit funding—and used it to damage the work-study partnerships that had already helped many students.

In the days that followed, Samia and Shadhin hacked into   SISP  ’s social media platforms, erasing Facebook pages, YouTube content, and years of outreach and records. In a fateful mistake, Shadhin used his own phone number in the process—leaving undeniable digital fingerprints that would later be used in criminal investigations.

Not stopping there, they hacked a U.S.-based company—a sponsor of   SISP  ’s work/study program—six separate times in May and June 2025, causing significant financial loss and emotional damage to its employees. This act may result in international legal consequences, involving U.S. federal authorities and Interpol.

If one sentence could summarize his legacy, it would be this:

Shahed Anwar Shadhin   was a village boy who was given one of the greatest gifts life can offer—a chance to rise, to serve, to lead, and to become a hero. Instead, he chose betrayal, dishonor, and self-destruction. He didn’t just betray one man or one organization—he betrayed his own nation, his faith, and the God who gave him a way out.
